Description

Dundas Manor is a not-for-profit long term care home in the Village of Winchester that opened in 1978, with 60 beds, and expanded to 98 beds through multiple additions.
In March 2020, Minister of Long-Term Care, Merrilee Fullerton, announced additional beds for the project redevelopment. The new home will house 128 long-term care residents and will be located on property southwest of the existing home. The new Dundas Manor will transform the look and feel of the residence to create a truly home-like environment, welcoming an additional thirty residents. The new home will improve quality of life with more accessible space, more efficient preparation areas, wider halls, and larger windows.
The expanded new home will afford new long-term care accommodations for residents in the community as well as those in local hospitals awaiting placement. It will also generate additional employment opportunities for the area. This increase in beds will allow the home to operate more cost-effectively.
