DESCRIPTION OF PROCUREMENT
The University of Toronto is looking to purchase a modular automated liquid handler to facilitate automated, high-throughput, small-scale, and parallel chemical synthesis. This system will be installed in the Medicinal Chemistry Self-Driving Lab at the University of Toronto as part of the Acceleration Consortium. This system has stringent safety requirements to allow for the use of volatile solvents or reactive materials needed for the synthesis of medicinal chemistry drug target libraries. We will also require a modular system that can be expanded to meet future synthetic requirements. In line with the nature of the Acceleration Consortium we also need a system that can be integrated and controlled both via the software and via APIs. This system will be used for both organic synthesis reactions in organic and aqueous media and for sample preparation for characterization and analysis. As such we need a flexible and versatile liquid handler.
The procurement is anticipated to involve negotiation. An electronic auction is not anticipated.
