The Purchaser is seeking Proposals from qualified and experienced Proponents for the provision of electrical tooling student kits to support students of the Electrical Techniques program.
The Electrical Techniques program is a one (1) year, two (2)-semester Ontario College Diploma program. Each fall (September), approximately one hundred sixty (160) students are enrolled in the program, and each winter (January), approximately one hundred ten (110) students are enrolled in the program. The student kit for this program is provided to students in the fall and winter semester of their first year and the kit is used for the duration of the program. Successful students from this program are provided the basic tools to enter an apprenticeship program.
It is the intention of the Purchaser to award one Proponent for this procurement process. A Proponent must be able to supply every item required for each student kit mentioned in Schedule B: Specification and Scope of Work. If a Proponent is unable to provide every item required for each student kit based on the specifications mentioned, the Proponent may not be considered.
The Purchaser may order approximately 230 to 270 kits annually.
The Preferred Proponent will be responsible for assembling the student kits. Student kits must be assembled prior to delivery. The kits must be delivered in a timely manner for the start of each semester. All tools are to be placed in the Tool Bag Backpack required and must be accompanied with a tracking sheet indicating the tools contained in the backpack.
The Preferred Proponent must be able to supply, assemble, deliver, and invoice all Goods noted in the RFP by the second week of August for fall semester orders and by the third week of November for winter semester orders.
