FSRA is implementing a multi-year roadmap to enhance its technology and information systems, supporting its core regulatory activities and procedures. Through its Technology Enabled Business Transformation, FSRA aims to develop and execute a digitally-enabled business strategy that would align regulatory processes, technology and data with business strategy and priorities, while mitigating business and technology operational risks.​ A critical component of FSRA’s journey to becoming a principle-based, outcome-focused regulator is modernization of its regulatory operations enabled through business transformation. The Market Conduct Business Solution (MCBS) project is a key resource in this transformation, designed to replace existing sector-specific and obsolete legacy systems with an integrated, multi-sectoral solution.
MCBS is a centralized client information system, based on Microsoft Dynamics 365 technology, supporting licensing services that lay the foundation for optimizing Market Conduct regulatory functions. The goals include enhancing licensing efficiency, managing compliance, improving customer experience and remediating legacy application risks.
