McMaster University invites qualified bidders to submit responses for the supply of a Sample Storage System in accordance with the terms of this Request for Proposal.
The Canadian Longitudinal Study on Aging (CLSA) is a large, national, long-term study of more than 50,000 individuals who were between the ages of 45 and 85 when recruited. Between 2010 and 2015, the CLSA recruited and collected baseline information from more than 50,000 individuals. Two additional waves of data collection have been completed: Follow-up 1 (2015-2018) and Follow-up 2 (2018-2021). Follow-up 3, launched in 2021, will be completed shortly, and Follow-up 4 is now underway and will continue until 2027. The estimated completion date of the project is 2033
Over 30,000 CLSA participants provide the core information through in-home interviews and additional in-depth information gathered through physical assessments and biological specimen collection at one of 11 data collection sites across Canada.
