DESCRIPTION OF THE WORK:
The Work includes the supply of all that is required for testing, installation, and connection of grounding
electrodes on the 66kV-and-below electric distribution system. This includes the following, non-exclusive:
i) All scheduled Work will take place in non-isolated, road bearing and or accessible
locations.
ii) All associated grounding material will be supplied by the Purchaser.
iii) The Contractor is accountable for quantities of materials issued to them. Including delivery,
security, replacement of losses. and matching to invoiced mitigation numbers.
iv) Acquire all utility locates for all potential ground rod installations prior to mobilization.
v) Repairing damaged ground wire (when practicable) and replacing the bottom section of
wood moulding with Purchaser supplied steel moulding when applicable..
vi) Removal and replacement of a section of moulding to complete a grounding assessment
clip-on check.
vii) Recording of all inspection details and maintenance Work,
viii) The Contractor shall reference Appendix 2 - Manitoba Hydro Distribution Grounding
Standard The specific mitigation to be used at each pole will be driven via our software
and questionnaire.
ix) The Contractor shall be responsible for supplying and maintaining the electronic hardware
required for the Work.
x) The Contractor is required to upload all acquired data, via the Purchaser's supplied software
application automatically, through the Contractor's supplied internet connection. The
Contractor is encouraged to create backup files for their own records in case of hardware
failure prior to uploading.
