DESCRIPTION OF PROCUREMENT
The University, through the Department of Chemistry, is looking to acquire five customized digital microfluidics controllers that will significantly enhance our capabilities in both laboratory and field settings. Each controller must be equipped to program and precisely control a variety of droplet operations, catering to an array of applications in microfluidics.
All units will integrate automated magnet manipulation for immunoassays and feature sensitive detectors for chemiluminescence detection, ensuring high-performance analytics. Specifically, two of the controllers will be tailored for laboratory environments, incorporating advanced epifluorescence detection capabilities and pump-driven reagent delivery systems to facilitate complex assay development. The remaining three controllers will be designed for fieldwork, featuring robust battery power for extended operability away from electrical mains, enabling us to conduct on-site testing and analyses efficiently. We are developing a variety of assays, including immunofluorescence, fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH), enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays (ELISA), and other related tests.
This strategic acquisition will not only streamline our workflows but also expand our research potential in various applications, from clinical diagnostics to environmental monitoring.
The procurement is anticipated to involve negotiation. An electronic auction is not anticipated.
