Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre (TBRHSC) is inviting qualified Proponents to submit proposals for the overhaul and modernization of two (2) hydraulic elevators, a passenger elevator and a freight elevator located at the ICR Discoveries site (290 Munro Street, Thunder Bay, Ontario). This project includes the upgrade of power supply and control systems, safety equipment, hydraulic systems, elevator cabs, door mechanisms, and hall fixtures to ensure regulatory compliance and energy-efficient, accessible, and reliable operation.
The scope of work must meet all relevant Ontario codes and standards, including TSSA regulations, the Elevating Devices Code Adoption Document (CAD), the Ontario Building Code, and the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA). Proponents must hold a valid TSSA contractor license and provide proof of insurance and WSIB clearance.
The successful Proponent will be required to maintain one operational elevator at all times and coordinate all inspections and testing with TSSA. A mandatory site visit is scheduled for April 24, 2025, at 1:00 PM EST. Proposal submissions are due by May 16, 2025, at 2:00 PM EST via MERX.
This RFP includes an optional five-year post-warranty service plan. Evaluation will be based on a combination of technical, experiential, and financial criteria.
