BCTS Skeena (Terrace) is seeking a Professional Services Contractor to provide the following Services:
Professional Environmental & Engineering Consultant Services, on an “as-needed” basis as directed by the Ministry Representative.
Upon notification of a project the consultant must commence work on a project within five (5) days or at a negotiated start date acceptable to a ministry representative. Once commenced, project work shall be continuous unless an alternate work schedule is approved by the Ministry.
The marshalling point (Base Location) for providing services under this contract is Terrace British Columbia. Fees and expenses payable under this agreement only include travel to and from the base location and the work site.
Other Professional Environmental works may be required on an as needed basis.
“Professional” stand level terrestrial wildlife assessments including Wildlife Habitat Assessments and Wildlife Impact Assessments.
Provide professional advice and management options in regard to, impacts from forestry operations on Plant, Wildlife & Fisheries resources.
Conduct a “Professional” review of previously completed Wildlife Assessments, Fish Habitat/Stream Channel/Riparian Classification reports to assess their operational value under the Forest and Range Practices Act and the BC Timber Sales –Skeena Business Area Forest Stewardship Plan.
Assess and classify streams and wetlands.
Environmental monitor of construction projects, including fish salvage, fish & wildlife management work.
Prepare & submit environmental referrals to appropriate agencies.
When requested provide reports on assigned projects signed and sealed by a Qualified Registered Professional.
Fish passage site assessments, habitat confirmation assessments and environmental management plans.
Environmental remediation assessments and other miscellaneous environmental work
Contract deliverables will be planned for completion throughout the fiscal year to meet the business area quarterly targets. Projects will be completed concurrently as per the approved work progress plan and schedules.

Tender submissions must be submitted in accordance with the terms and conditions specified in the tender package.
The lowest priced or any tender will not necessarily be accepted.
Unverified bid results will be posted to BC Bid after tender opening and once awarded the contract award results will be available on BC Bid.
