Red River College Polytechnic seeks a vendor to develop an Indigenous Service Design Training program through a collaborative and consultative process. To equip Indigenous leaders within the RRC Polytech community and the broader Indigenous entrepreneurial ecosystem with the skills and frameworks necessary to apply design thinking to their initiatives. This training will provide participants with practical, hands-on experience in service design, empowering them to create innovative solutions that address community and business challenges. Through this training, participants will develop a deep understanding of service design principles, learning how to map user journeys, identify pain points, prototype solutions, and implement iterative improvements. The goal is to foster a mindset of creative problem-solving and systems thinking, enabling Indigenous leaders to drive meaningful change within their communities and industries. In this training we aim to: 1. Empower Indigenous entrepreneurs, partners and Mittohnee participants with structured innovation tools to scale their businesses and develop sustainable, community-driven business models. 2. Strengthen Indigenous community development efforts, using service design as a method to solve housing, economic equity, and governance challenges through co-design and policy innovation. 3. Expand RRCP’s Indigenous strategy research capabilities, integrating service design into policy development, economic modeling, and applied business research. 4. Position RRCP as a hub for Indigenous business innovation, supporting venture creation, investment readiness, and Indigenous-led research-to-business pipelines. 5. Foster collaboration between Indigenous entrepreneurs, social enterprises, policymakers, and researchers, using service design to co-develop strategies that address long-standing systemic barriers. Information on the complete expected scope of services and Deliverables is included in Schedule E.
