RRC Polytech is improving the quality of its data analytics capabilities required for strategic and operational planning and institutional reporting. We have identified areas where enhanced resourcing and skill would increase our capability and velocity.
The College is integrating student enrolment, progression, and financial information from disparate systems into a data and analytics environment to support areas including Strategic Enrolment Management (SEM), capacity planning, student success, and course renewal.
This initiative will ensure consistency and reliability of the data, support longitudinal reporting, and the ability for advanced analytics. Challenges relating to data consistency, data integrity, and data definitions must be addressed through various means including improving business processes, work with data definitions, data governance, and data transformation.
Building a relationship with a vendor who understands our industry and challenges deeply and can support us long term is important for our success. To that end, RRC Polytech is seeking to establish a 5 year standing offer with a vendor or vendors with deep expertise in data and analytics generally, along with experience in higher-education, to provide RRC Polytech with various resources and expertise, as needed, on multiple initiatives over several years to supplement the College’s existing staff and address specific resourcing and expertise gaps in data architecture, database design, business analysis, data analytics, data visualization and storytelling, and project management
